NA 132 Shipbuilding and Marine Technology Standards Committee
The Shipbuilding and Marine Technology Standards Committee (NSMT), a standards committee of DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung e. V., is responsible for the national standardization in the area of shipbuilding and marine technology and for the German involvement in the respective European and international committees.
In addition the committee elaborates necessary defence technology standards (VG) in this field. Details are described in the annual contract between the Ministry of Defence and the DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung e. V., based on the specification of the BWB. Outline and course of business of VG standards are described in VG 95820.
The main aim of the NSMT is the elaboration of international standards (ISO/IEC) respectively European standards of CEN/CENELEC.
